MAIN ADVANTAGES OF HSP:

 

  • continuous slots along the wellbore allow unloading of annular compressive stress-strain states around the wellbore zone

  • unloading of annular compressive stress-strain states around the wellbore zone increases the permeability of producing formation

  • permeability of producing formation in the near-wellbore zone increases on average up to 50-100 % (statistical data) ­

  • increases of permeability in the near-wellbore zone improves reservoir properties and increases the flow on average up to 30-50 %

For unloading stress conditions in the near wellbore zone two conditions are necessary:

 

  • extended slots along the wellbore

  • depth of the slots must be sufficient for conditions when unloading in the near wellbore zone take place

Spot perforation (cumulative, abrazive, jetting, hydro-sandblast, side drilling, etc.) unfortunately does not provide discharge stress conditions in the near wellbore zone.
